Job summary

Phoenix Incorporated seeks a Senior Manager – MEP to lead the on-site execution of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire-fighting services across malls, hotels, and office buildings. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver compliant, timely project outcomes.

The role requires 10–12 years in engineering with at least 4 years on-site, strong knowledge of MEP installations, safety norms, and cost-estimation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering with relevant on-site experience.
• 10–12 years of engineering experience in retail/malls, hotels and office buildings, with 4+ years on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of MEP/Services across project sites with contractors and consultants.
• Review and finalize shop drawings in coordination with MEP consultants and project architect.
• Ensure QC/QA checks and material verification by QS teams.
• Lead weekly discussions with contractors to monitor schedules and progress.
• Oversee daily inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting installations.
• Audit MEP systems, conduct testing of equipment, and manage back-end MEP activities.
• Develop and maintain MEP checklists with Planning; prepare daily progress reports.
• Coordinate external audits of MEP facilities before operations start to resolve snags.

Overall Purpose/Objective Of the job

Managesthe execution of all MEP/ Services activities at the project site includingHVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, IBMS in coordination with thevarious contractors, consultants and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in thekick-off meeting led by GM-MEP, with all the MEP/Services contractors toexplain all the project details and thus mobilize the contractors.
• Undertake review,finalization of shop drawings in coordination with MEP/Services consultantsand Project Architect.
• Ensure that the materialsare checked by the QC/QA and QS teams for the quality and quantityrespectively.
• Conduct weeklydiscussions with the MEP/Services contractors to discuss non-adherence toschedules and thus monitor progress on the project through daily inspections
• Monitor whether theMEP/Services team checks every area such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing andfire-fighting equipment installations and fittings on a daily basis
• Manage / Audit of MEPsystem, complete testing of all equipments and service across all areas ofproject-site
• Undertake the executionof back-end MEP activities such as drainage, water supply, pumps, etc
• Develop and maintain thecheck list for MEP/ Services along with the Planning team.
• Maintain the dailyprogress reports prepared/compiled by the Engineer for all the MEP/ Servicesactivities across various areas
• Manage conduct of audit byan external agency of all MEP facilities before the operations start in orderto identify and resolve snags.
• Understanding ofInfrastructural services / Installation to support on upgrades of existingMalls and all centers.
• Support to centerstechnical team in providing solutions and technical reviews, cost savingmeasures , Budgetary prices etc.
