Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Boiler Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain Coal Fired Boilers and Gas Fired Boilers.
• Monitor steam generation, pressure, fuel consumption, and efficiency.
• Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with boiler safety regulations and statutory inspections.
• Maintain boiler logbooks and operational records.
• Operations of Waste Heat Recovery Boiler

2. Thermopack Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain Coal Fired Thermopacks and Gas Fired Thermopacks.
• Monitor thermal oil temperatures, pressure, and fuel efficiency.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.

3. Air Compressor Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain Centrifugal and Screw Air Compressors.
• Monitor compressed air pressure, quality, and energy consumption.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.

4. Humidification Plant Operation & Maintenance

• Ensure efficient operation of the humidification system.
• Monitor humidity levels as per production requirements.
• Maintain pumps, nozzles, filters, and distribution systems.

5. Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain STP equipment.
• Monitor treatment parameters and ensure compliance with environmental norms.
• Maintain operational records and coordinate with regulatory authorities during inspections.

6. Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain ETP systems.
• Monitor chemical dosing, pH, TDS, COD, BOD, and other treatment parameters.
• Ensure treated water meets statutory discharge standards.
• Optimize chemical consumption and plant efficiency.

7. Water Softening Plant Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain Water Softening Plant.
• Monitor hardness levels, regeneration cycles, and resin performance.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of treated water to utilities and production.

8. Coal Handling & Storage Management

• Supervise coal receiving, unloading, storage, and feeding operations.
• Ensure proper inventory management and minimize handling losses.
• Maintain housekeeping and fire safety standards in coal storage areas.
• Inventory planning and maintaining minimum level of inventory

9. Preventive Maintenance

• Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all utility equipment.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate shutdown maintenance activities.

10. ISO & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and company procedures.
• Maintain utility documentation, SOPs, checklists, calibration records, and maintenance logs.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
• Compliance related to energy management

11. Safety & Energy Management

• Promote safe work practices and adherence to Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Ensure proper use of PPE.
• Identify and implement energy conservation initiatives.
• Monitor utility consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
