Job summary

Abbott in Solan is seeking an Assistant Manager Engineering in Engineering (Utilities Operations & Maintenance) with a B Tech in Mechanical and 10-12 years of experience. The role focuses on shift operation, preventive maintenance, compliance with GMP/GEP, and documentation of all utility activities.

The incumbent will lead maintenance, audits, CAPA, change control, and cost control, coordinating with contractors to improve equipment reliability and energy use while ensuring safety standards are

Qualifications

• B Tech (Mechanical) required.
• Experience 10-12 years in utilities operations.
• Strong knowledge of GMP/GEP and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Utilities shift operation.
• Attend and close shift complaints/breakdowns.
• Preventive maintenance with documentation.
• Operate, maintain and validate water pretreatment, PW generation, boilers, air compressors, and nitrogen.
• Maintain consumables inventory.
• Track utilities consumption; identify savings opportunities.
• Lead modification/upgradation projects with contractors.
• Raise change controls, risk assessments, CAPA tasks; close timely.
• Prepare audits/self-inspection responses; close observations.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and audits.
• Monitor engineering monthly expenses.
• Ensure GMP/GEP compliance.
• Prepare monthly breakdown data & analysis.
• Generate daily shift reports; manage shifts.
• Why-Why analysis for recurring issues; continual improvement.
• Identify and implement equipment efficiency projects.

Qualification : B Tech (Mechanical) Experience : 10-12 years
Followings will be the responsibilities of the position holder :

• Utilities Shift Operation.
• Attend and close complaints/ Breakdowns in shifts.
• Preventive maintenance of utility equipment’s with documentation.
• Operation, maintenance and validation of water pretreatment plants, purified water generation and distribution plants, Petcoke and bio mass fired boilers, Air compressors, Nitrogen plant with SOP’s and documentation compliances.
• Maintain the inventory of consumable for utilities equipments.
• All utilities consumption tracking and initiatives for saving opportunity on site and controlling consumption within daily limits
• Execute modification / Upgradation projects along with supervision of contractors and contractual manpower.
• Raising the Change control, Risk assessment, Deviations and exception in utility section and timely closure for related CAPA Tasks.
• Preparation of audits and self-inspection response and timely closer of observations and related CAPA Tasks.
• Compliance to safety and regulatory requirements and audits.
• Engineering monthly expenses monitoring
• To ensure compliance of GMP/GEP.
• Monthly Breakdown Data preparation & analysis.
• Generation of daily shift report and shift handling.
• Why-Why analysis of repeated issues in utilities equipments with continual improvement in equipment performance.
• Identify & implementation of projects for equipment’s efficiency improvement
