Job summary

Reserve Bank Information Technology is seeking an experienced Java Architect/Team Lead in Navi Mumbai to drive architecture, design, and delivery of microservices using Java 11+ and Spring Boot. Qualifications

• Experience with Java 11 or later (Java 17/21 preferred).
• Proficiency with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Java configurations.
• Strong understanding of JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases.
• Authentication/Authorization mechanisms and protocols (JWT, OAuth 2.0, SAML).
• APIs defined via Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Git and version control workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in architecture and implementation using Java and Spring Boot.

• Oversee code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with DevOps for deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift (OCP).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments.
• Translate high-level designs into detailed technical solutions and deliver end-to-end.
• Create project documentation including high-level/low-level designs and APIs.
• Lead a team of 5+ members to deliver quality results.
• Drive PoC development from scope to design to implementation.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership in architecture and implementation of applications using Java and Spring boot.
• Drive the development and deployment of microservices which aligns with the design principles laid out by organization.
• Take accountability of the code review process and ensure that high quality code is delivered.
• Collaborate with DevOps team to ensure smooth deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift (OCP).
• Drive the Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across environments.
• Work closely with solution architect for the translation of proposed high-level solutions to detailed technical solutions and deliver it end-to-end.
• Creation of project documentation including high-level design, low level design, API specifications etc.
• Manage a team of at least 5+ members ensuring high quality deliverables.
• Drive development of various PoCs including scope, high level design, low level design and PoC development.

Must Have:

• Experience with Java 11 or later (Java 17 and 21 preferred).
• Proficiency with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and deep understanding of Spring Annotations and Java-based configurations.
• Strong understanding of JPA/Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational database management systems (Oracle, MySQL).
• Strong understanding of Authentication and Authorization mechanisms and protocols such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, SAML etc.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, etc.
• Ability to define APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Proficiency in Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle build tools.
• Proficiency with JUnit, Mockito, or other testing frameworks.
• Proficiency in development and management of REST APIs.
• Knowledge of security concepts such as data-at-rest encryption, data-in-transit encryption.
• Knowledge of OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, BuildPiper or similar and code quality tool such as SonarQube.
