Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Java Lead Consultant to drive design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and robust Microservices architectures.

The role requires guiding teams, leading architecture discussions, and ensuring secure, scalable solutions while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and product owners in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 9-15 years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Extensive experience in Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, OOP Concepts, and software engineering best practices.
• Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ.
• Knowledge of API security mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Strong experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Develop scalable, reusable, and secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture workshops.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Implement application integration using messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
• Drive performance optimization, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for complex production issues.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Mentor and guide development teams on technical design and implementation best practices.
• Contribute to DevOps, automation, and CI/CD adoption across projects.
