Senior Manager – Investment Operations & Reporting
We are seeking a high‑calibre Chartered Accountant to anchor our investment operations, streamline reporting, and provide strong leadership to the investment support team. This is a senior accountability‑driven role designed to ensure rigorous governance, high‑quality deliverables, and seamless coordination across investment, legal, accounting, and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the investment operations team with a strong managerial presence; ensure discipline, performance, and timely delivery of all team outputs.
- Act as the primary reporting lead for the team, ensuring the CIO receives structured weekly performance updates and red‑flag insights.
- Maintain high professional standards to ensure the team treats the role with seriousness and respect.
- Ensure all team members adhere to internal communication norms, including timely responses to common group email IDs and systematic follow‑ups on assigned companies.
Investment Operations & Review
- Possess a solid understanding of investment processes across listed equities, PMS, funds, start‑up investments, NCLT opportunities, and strategic projects.
- Support in reviewing team analysis, assessing investment material, and ensuring accuracy in all internal investment workflows.
- Leverage foundational legal knowledge to understand transaction documents, compliance requirements, and investment structures.
- Contribute to evaluating investment performance and provide inputs that help assess team progress.
Reporting & Analytical Rigor
- Prepare and present a Monthly Investment Summary covering PMS, Funds, Start‑ups, and Direct Public Market Investments.
- Develop and deliver Quarterly Investment Presentations for senior management, reflecting portfolio performance, insights, and actionable recommendations.
- Standardize and streamline accounting, MIS, MProfit and reporting frameworks for internal performance tracking and external investment monitoring.
- Build dashboards or reporting mechanisms to provide transparent visibility into team output, investment progress, and third‑party fund/start‑up performance.
Strategic & Cross‑Functional Projects
- Work closely on cross‑vertical initiatives including IPO‑related workstreams, fund‑raising assignments, trust structures, NCLT transactions, and new business initiatives.
- Drive operational execution for these projects, ensuring accuracy, timely coordination, and compliance with internal standards.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Implement scalable systems and processes to strengthen internal controls and reduce manual effort.
- Take ownership of automation initiatives to improve speed, accuracy, and transparency across investment operations.
- Follow up with legal and compliance teams to ensure documentation repositories are updated, accessible, and audit‑ready.
Qualifications & Skills
- Chartered Accountant (mandatory) with strong academic grounding and high learning agility.
- 5–8 years of experience in investment operations, transaction support, portfolio monitoring, or related domains.
- Strong understanding of basic legal frameworks relevant to investment transactions.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and enforce discipline.
- Strong analytical ability, structured thinking, and comfort working across multiple domains.
- High proficiency with Excel, PPT, reporting tools, and process automation platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
