We are seeking to hire an Investments Analyst to support the investment team in preparation for and subsequent to the launch of the proposed Category III AIF. The role will involve comprehensive financial research, analysis, and execution support across listed and select markets.
The Analyst will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) on investment evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and strategy execution. The role will also involve supporting senior management of portfolio companies on financial analysis, business initiatives, and strategic projects, where relevant.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate economic and market trends, financial statements, earnings prospects, and other
- Assess multiple startups and analyze past investment decisions to generate key takeaways.
- Produce complex financial models for integration into the decision-making process.
- Conduct meetings with management, startup founders, and other third parties to gain a deeper understanding of investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
- Create intensive research-based reports and presentations for other team members and stakeholders.
- Recommend new methods, systems, procedures, or organizational changes to improve the
- Evaluate short-term and long-term projects addressing a range of issues and needs to determine their viability and potential impact on the investment strategy.
- Present recommendations through in-person presentations.
- Work closely with lawyers, accountants to make sure compliance of AIF and Trust.
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, management, investment banking, or accounting from a reputable institution along with CA, CFA or CS Degree.
- 2-3 years’ experience in Investment Industry.
- Strong mathematical and numerical skills to conduct financial analysis and modeling.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis to provide valuable insights for investment decisions.
- Excellent research and writing skills to produce complex financial reports and presentations.
- Confident presentation abilities to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of financial statements and investment strategies to evaluate
- Prior knowledge of assisting a company with merger and acquisitions and joint ventures would be an added advantage.
