Diageo Bangalore is seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive environment, process safety and project safety across TMU and offices in the South Region. The role requires extensive travel and strong stakeholder management to advance Corporate EHS strategic goals.

You will anchor as SME in Environment, Process Safety, and Project Safety reviews, ensure alignment to global standards, and mentor teams while advancing digital safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Engineering with PG Diploma in Industrial Safety/Env.
  • 9-12 years in manufacturing with corporate/regional exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Anchor Environment, Process Safety, and Project Safety reviews with regional teams.
  • Ensure EHS standards align to global GRMS/SFIP standards across locations.
  • Drive safety culture, incident reporting, investigations, and learning sharing.
  • Support Demand Team for external events safety reviews and office safety.
  • Mature EHS audit system; plan, track, and report regional progress.
  • Lead technology/digitization initiatives to improve workplace safety.

About the role

The objective of the role is to ensure that all USL Locations including Units, Offices Operating Safe and there is enhancement in maturity of EHS standards by working on following focus areas in South Region and covering EHS for TMU (Third-party manufacturing, Offices, Driving safety & External Events. Role requires extensive travelling and Stakeholder management and driving Corporate EHS Strategic Agenda in the Region. This role will also anchor as SME (Subject matter expert) in following 3 area as a part of Corporate EHS team and drive in co-ordination with other Regional EHS Managers and Stakeholders : 1. Environment 2. Process Safety 3. Project Safety reviews

The role will ensure:

  • All locations in the regions EHS standards are aligned to global Standards on EHS (GRMS) and SFIP Standards.
  • There is maturity in culture of Safety learning and sensitivity in safety across Organization.
  • Support EHS in Demand Team – including Offices/driving Safety. Ensure Incident reporting and Investigation and ensuring Sharing and learning.
  • Support Demand Team – for External Events Safety Reviews and support.
  • Mature EHS Audit System. Follow audit plan and ensure and support closure and report the progress for the region.
  • Mature Engagement, communication and initiative drives are taken across all locations.
  • Work on focus initiatives/projects in embedding use of Technology/Digitization in enhancing workplace Safety and monitoring.
  • Improve EHS Standards in TMU Operations through maturing mechanism on Building Capability, Engagement & strong Governance. Work closely with TMU team and building capability of Safety resources etc.
  • This role will anchor- Environment in Close co-ordination with all regional EHS Managers and sustainability team including reviews.
  • This role will anchor Process Safety leadership along with other Regional EHS managers across all location.
  • Project Safety Reviews & Capex Management
Experience / skills required

Qualification :

  • B.E./B. Tech/Equivalent in Engineering (preferably - Chem, Mechanical, Env) with post graduate diploma in Industrial Safety/Env from a recognized institution)
  • 9-12 yrs of post qualification experience in managerial capacity in a manufacturing Organization and having at least 1 years working experience in Corporate/regional set up would be added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience and Expertise in Process Safety Deployment (CCPS).
  • Experience and Expertise in Environment Area (ISO 14001, ETP, Waste Compliance), Water, ZLD, ZWLF.
  • Knowledge on Workplace Safety Standards.
  • Good understanding of EHS Audits/EHS Legal compliance.
  • ISO 45001,14001,BSC (British Safety Council),DuPont Safety, Project Safety etc.
  • Experience in Capex/Project Safety area.
  • Experience in Driving Performance Management.
  • Good Training and Auditing skills.
  • Good Communication and influencing Skills.
  • Good understanding of Environmental Compliance, ETP Operations, GHG, Water, ZLD, ZWL.
