Diageo plc in Bengaluru seeks an experienced EHS leader to align locations with global GRMS/SFIP standards, drive safety culture, and anchor environment, process safety and project safety reviews.

You will manage audits, governance, and training, engage multiple stakeholders, and deliver digitization initiatives to enhance workplace safety across TMU operations in the region.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Engineering with PG Diploma in Industrial Safety/Env from a recognized institution.
  • 9–12 years of post-qualification managerial experience in a manufacturing setup; regional/corporate exposure is a plus.
  • Experience in CCPS Process Safety deployment and ISO 14001/45001 environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Anchor EHS standards per GRMS/SFIP across locations.
  • Drive culture of safety learning and incident reporting.
  • Lead Environment, Process Safety, and Project Safety reviews; governance & audits.
  • Engage stakeholders across regions; drive safety digitization initiatives.
  • Support Capex/Projects safety and external events safety reviews.

Whatever your skills and experience, we’ll help you to thrive in our inclusive culture. **About the role:** The objective of the role is to ensure that all USL Locations including Units, Offices Operating Safe and there is enhancement in maturity of EHS standards by working on following focus areas in South Region and covering EHS for TMU (Third-party manufacturing, Offices, Driving safety & External Events. Role requires extensive travelling and Stakeholder management and driving Corporate EHS Strategic Agenda in the Region. This role will also anchor as SME (Subject matter expert) in following 3 area as a part of Corporate EHS team and drive in co-ordination with other Regional EHS Managers and Stakeholders :1. Environment2. Process Safety3. Project Safety reviews **The role will ensure:** 1. All locations in the regions EHS standards are aligned to global Standards on EHS (GRMS) and SFIP Standards.2. There is maturity in culture of Safety learning and sensitivity in safety across Organization3. Support EHS in Demand Team – including Offices/driving Safety. Ensure Incident reporting and Investigation and ensuring Sharing and learning.4. Support Demand Team – for External Events Safety Reviews and support5. Mature EHS Audit System. Follow audit plan and ensure and support closure and report the progress for the region.6. Mature Engagement, communication and initiative drives are taken across all locations7. Work on focus initiatives/projects in embedding use of Technology/Digitization in enhancing workplace Safety and monitoring8. Improve EHS Standards in TMU Operations through maturing mechanism on Building Capability, Engagement & strong Governance. Work closely with TMU team and building capability of Safety resources etc.9. This role will anchor- Environment in Close co-ordination with all regional EHS Managers and sustainability team including reviews10. This role will anchor Process Safety leadership along with other Regional EHS managers across all location11. Project Safety Reviews & Capex Management**Experience / skills required:** **Qualification:** • B.E./B. Tech/Equivalent in Engineering (preferably - Chem, Mechanical, Env) with post graduate diploma in Industrial Safety/Env from a recognized institution) **Experience:** • 9-12 yrs of post qualification experience in managerial capacity in a manufacturing Organization and having at least 1 years working experience in Corporate/regional set up would be added advantage **Knowledge & Skills:** • Experience and Expertise in Process Safety Deployment (CCPS)• Experience and Expertise in Environment Area (ISO 14001, ETP, Waste Compliance), Water, ZLD, ZWLF• Knowledge on Workplace Safety Standards• Good understanding of EHS Audits/EHS Legal compliance• ISO 45001,14001,BSC (British Safety Council),DuPont Safety, Project Safety etc• Experience in Capex/Project Safety area• Experience in Driving Performance Management• Good Training and Auditing skills• Good Communication and influencing Skills • Good understanding of Environmental Compliance, ETP Operations, GHG, Water, ZLD, ZWL **Best Suited for someone who has:**• Good oral communication skills• Good presentation skills• Attention to detail• Good Analytics and coordinating and Multitasking Skills• System Thinking and Creativity• Strong in multistakeholder engagement**Working with us** Flexibility is key to our success.
