Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric India, seeks a Senior Manager - Environment and Employee Health & Safety at Ahmednagar plant. The role demands 14–16 years of EHS leadership, B.E. in Electrical/Mechanical, and ADIS certification to drive safety initiatives and regulatory compliance.

You will lead Kaizen-driven safety improvements, environmental management, and audits while shaping a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• B.E – Electrical/Mechanical degree required.
• ADIS (Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety) certification.
• Experience of 14–16 years in EHS leadership and plant safety.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify safety opportunities through area owner interfaces and Kaizen tracking.
• Monitor high-risk activities using Permit to Work system.
• Identify hazards via HIRA and monitor control implementation.
• Implement and maintain global EHS policies at the workplace.
• Conduct and oversee regular EHS audits and inspections.
• Manage plant environmental aspects: waste, emissions, water pollution prevention.
• Drive ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 audits and compliance.
• Ensure legal compliance per Factory Act and regional rules.
• Lead machine/electrical safety initiatives and safety integration processes.
• Lead accident investigations and environmental incident assessments.
• Drive global sustainability initiatives at plant level.

Designation: Senior Manager - Environment and Employee Health & Safety

Qualification: B.E – (Electrical /Mechanical)

Certification: ADIS (Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety)

Experience: 14 years to 16 years

Key Deliverables / Key Responsibilities/Deliverables (Min 4 need to be filled in decreasing order of importance)

What will you do :

• Daily connect with different area owner for proactively identification of Safety Opportunity, Reporting & Tracking for implementation of KAIZENS.
• Monitoring of High-Risk Activities through various Permit to Work system.
• Identification of Hazards through HIRA & Environment Aspect Impact analysis and monitor implementation of controls.
• Implement Global EHS policies, procedures and practices at workplace.
• Monitor and ensure regular EHS audits and inspections carried out by plant team.
• Manage environment aspects of plant; Waste management, emissions control, water pollution prevention, etc.
• Driving ISO 14001, ISO 45001, 50001 internal & external audit and compliance.
• Legal Compliance as per Factory Act & Gujarat Factory Rules, GPCB, etc.
• Expert in Machine Safety, Electrical Safety, Work at Height and Safety integration process.
• Lead accident investigations and environmental incident assessments while collaborating with management.
• Leading Global Sustainability Initiatives at plant level.
