Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Business Development & Industry Engagement will be responsible for driving DSCI’s strategic partnerships, expanding industry footprint, enabling ecosystem collaborations, and creating long-term engagement opportunities with government, industry bodies, corporates, and academia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Engagement & Revenue Growth
- Drive partnership and revenue strategies across industry sectors, building and executing engagement plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify and convert high-priority accounts into long-term collaborations through consulting, sponsored projects, and co-branded initiatives.
- Manage a pipeline of institutional partners focused on cybersecurity and emerging technologies, and facilitate dialogues in domains like AI, digital economy, and public policy.
- Develop partnership proposals and pitch decks for multi-year engagements, and manage industry platforms such as roundtables and innovation showcases.
- Lead large-scale cybersecurity awareness and skilling programs under CSR, and identify opportunities for sponsorships and paid projects.
- Engage with CSR heads and donor partners to co-design impactful initiatives.
- Create customized engagement models, manage proposals, and ensure compliance and reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Ecosystem Building
- Build relationships with CXOs, CISOs, CROs, and Policy Heads across sectors.
- Organize high-impact events like roundtables, summits, and hackathons, positioning DSCI as a thought leader.
- Use market intelligence to identify strategic accounts and opportunities.
- Oversee partner-funded programs from onboarding to reporting, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Internal Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with research, communications, events, and strategy teams to develop outreach programs.
- Support organizational reporting, impact tracking, and partner review meetings.
Job Requirements:
- 10–15 years in business development and industry partnerships.
- Educational qualification: MBA/B Tech/BE with a Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven success working with senior government officials and industry leaders.
- Strong understanding of technology ecosystems and digital transformation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing P&L or revenue responsibilities is advantageous.
- Experience in think tanks, industry associations, consulting, or corporate affairs is preferred.
