Osfin.ai is seeking a Senior Manager - Bank Operations in Mumbai or Bangalore to lead reconciliation and settlement operations for banking clients. You will manage cross-bank operations, drive automation, and mentor a team of reconciliation specialists to ensure SLA compliance and high-quality delivery.

The role requires 8–12 years in banking operations with strong knowledge of core banking systems and regulatory controls.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in banking operations, with exposure to cards, digital payments, settlements, and dispute reconciliation.
• Proven experience managing large-scale operations teams in banking reconciliation with accountability for SLA delivery.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to diagnose recon breaks and drive resolution.
• Ability to manage 5–6 banking relationships across locations with consistent SLA delivery.
• Track record of leadership, quality ownership, and mentoring recon/operations specialists.
• Solid grounding in SLA governance, controls, and regulatory requirements in banking operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end banking operations across multiple banks, including reconciliation, settlement, and dispute/chargeback management.
• Track daily operational activities and SLA/TAT adherence, identifying deviations or breaches.
• Serve as a primary contact for on-site and remote bank operations engagements with internal teams.
• Manage relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution.
• Supervise and mentor a team of reconciliation and automation specialists to drive performance and quality.
• Drive reconciliation automation initiatives and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audits, and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and review MIS/reports on reconciliation status, SLA performance, and exception trends.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and internal control assessments related to banking operations.

Role Overview -

We are looking for a Senior Manager - Bank Operations to lead and scale reconciliation and settlement operations for our banking clients. This role combines deep banking operations expertise with hands-on exposure to automation, stakeholder management, and team leadership. You will work closely with banks, internal product teams, and implementation specialists to ensure operational excellence and successful transformation outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end banking operations across multiple banks, covering reconciliation, settlement, and dispute/chargeback management
• Track daily operational activities and SLA/TAT adherence across all assigned banks, proactively identifying and resolving deviations or breaches
• Act as a key point of contact for on-site and remote bank operations engagements, coordinating across multiple banking partners and internal teams
• Manage relationships with various client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and escalation management
• Supervise and mentor a team of reconciliation and automation specialists, driving performance, capability building, and quality of output
• Drive reconciliation automation initiatives, including troubleshooting exceptions and identifying opportunities for process optimization
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly MIS/reports on reconciliation status, SLA performance, and exception trends for leadership and clients
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and internal control assessments related to banking operations

What We Are Looking For

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in banking operations, with strong exposure across cards, digital payments, settlements, and dispute/chargeback reconciliation
• Proven experience managing large-scale multiple operations teams in banking reconciliation, with direct accountability for team performance, quality, and SLA delivery
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose root causes of recon breaks and drive resolution
• Demonstrated ability to manage 5–6 banking relationships simultaneously across different locations/geographies, ensuring consistent SLA delivery and operational standards across all sites
• Track record of team leadership, quality ownership, and execution excellence, with experience mentoring and developing recon/operations specialists
• Working knowledge of core banking and card/payment systems (e.g., Finacle, Flexcube, CCRS, DCRS, URGCS, IRGCS, MasterCard Connect, VROL, DMS or similar)
• Solid grounding in SLA governance, operational controls, and regulatory/compliance requirements applicable to banking operations
