You will manage maintenance, safety, vendor relations, and cross-functional teams, guiding projects from shutdown planning to commissioning and modernization while delivering reliability and efficiency gains.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT electrical network.
• Ensure high availability of transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC panels, motors, DG sets, UPS, APFC, and related infrastructure.
• Drive electrical safety, statutory compliance, and best maintenance practices.
• Oversee PLC programming, drive commissioning, troubleshooting, system integration, and upgrades.
• Lead shutdown planning, plant commissioning, modernization projects, and reliability initiatives.
• Conduct RCA for critical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement programs to increase productivity and reduce downtime.

Job description

We are looking for a seasoned leader to head our Electrical, Power Systems & Automation function. This role offers the opportunity to lead critical plant operations, implement advanced automation solutions, optimize energy utilization, and contribute to the continuous improvement of one of the leading paper manufacturing facilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance & Power Systems

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of the complete HT/LT electrical network.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC panels, motors, DG sets, UPS, APFC panels, capacitor banks, harmonic filters, ATS/AMF systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Drive electrical safety, statutory compliance, and best maintenance practices across the plant.

Automation & Process Control

• Lead and optimize Siemens Automation platforms including PCS7 DCS, S7-300/400/1500 PLCs, TIA Portal, SIMATIC Manager, WinCC, SCADA, HMI, S120/G120 drives, servo systems, motion control, and industrial communication networks (PROFINET/PROFIBUS/Industrial Ethernet).
• Oversee PLC programming, drive commissioning, troubleshooting, system integration, and automation upgrades to improve process efficiency and equipment reliability.

Projects, Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Lead shutdown planning, plant commissioning, modernization projects, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement programs focused on increasing productivity, reducing downtime, and enhancing equipment performance.

Energy Management & Leadership

• Champion energy optimization, power quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Manage vendors, contractors, technical documentation, budgets, and engineering resources.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams while collaborating closely with Production, Mechanical Maintenance, OEMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
