Job summary

Navayuga Engineering Company (NEC) seeks a Senior Safety Manager for a Thane, Mumbai project. The role requires 15+ years of safety leadership on major infrastructure works, with ADIS certification and a B.Tech degree. You will drive HSE policy, audits, training, and incident investigations across roads, metro, bridges and tunnels.

You will lead a safety team, ensure regulatory compliance, and liaise with authorities and clients to maintain a zero-accident goal on site.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of safety experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory ADIS certification and B.Tech degree.
• Experience in Roads, Metro, Bridges & Tunnels projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies across the project.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and labour laws.
• Lead the project safety team including Officers and Supervisors.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard ID.
• Prepare SMP, JSA, method statements, and emergency plans.
• Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, permits, and MIS reports.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, subcontractors, and client teams.
• Liaise with authorities during inspections and audits.
• Promote zero-accident safety culture.

Project Location: Thane, Mumbai

Experience Required: 15+ Years

ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety) Mandatory (Recognized State Board Approved)

Project Experience Required : Roads Metro Projects Bridges Tunnels.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across the project.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory safety regulations, labour laws, and project specific safety requirements.
• Lead and manage the project safety team, including Safety Officers and Supervisors.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Prepare and implement Safety Management Plans (SMP), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and emergency response plans.
• Organize and conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, training sessions, and safety awareness campaigns.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions.
• Maintain all safety records, statutory registers, permits, and MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Client safety teams to ensure a safe working environment.
• Liaise with government authorities, safety auditors, and third-party agencies during inspections and audits.
• Promote a strong safety culture with the objective of zero accidents.
