Job Description

Opportunity to lead significant programs impacting MSMEs and financial inclusion. Work closely with apex institutions and senior leadership of banks and FIs. Collaborative, impact-driven work culture with strong thought leadership orientation.

  • Program Leadership & Delivery: Lead end-to-end execution of the large-scale banking projects, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives, milestones, and outcomes. Oversee design and rollout of MSME credit interventions, including product customization, pilot implementation, and scale-up. Provide strategic oversight on institutional diagnostics, operational assessments, and readiness frameworks for financial institutions working in rural/mass market banking. Ensure high-quality delivery across multiple work streams—products, processes, technology, capacity building, and collections.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Serve as a key relationship owner for the client, coordinating closely with their senior management and technical teams. Engage regularly with leadership levels and senior officers of banks/ FIs to drive buy-in and execution. Represent MSC in high-level meetings, workshops, and presentations.
  • Banking Products & MSME Credit Expertise: Guide banks/FIs on MSME-focused lending models, including cash-flow–based lending, small-ticket working capital, digital loans and sector-specific products. Support development and refinement of credit risk assessment frameworks, including use of alternative data and digital tools.
  • Digital & Technology Enablement: Support banks/ FIs in adopting digital credit workflows, LOS/LMS enhancements, and API-based integrations.
  • Team & Internal Coordination: Manage and mentor MSC project teams working across geographies and thematic areas. Ensure effective coordination between product, digital, training, and field implementation teams. Support internal planning, budgeting, risk management, and reporting to donors and partners.
  • Thought Leadership & Business Development: Contribute to MSC’s thought leadership in MSME finance, rural banking, and financial inclusion, with strong alignment to build new business lines. Support the preparation of proposals, manage client relationships, and Identify opportunities for scaling, replication, and follow-on engagements with existing and new clients.
Requirements

Experience:

  • Previous consulting experience from the Big-4 is an added advantage
  • Experience of designing/executing financial inclusion for the poor programs,such as MSME policy with government, developing cluster, digital lendingproducts, core banking experience.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understandingof lending products, processes and analyzing financial data
  • Ability to lead assignments involving diverse project teams and to work withminimal supervision
  • Ability to develop client relationships and win business
  • Proficient in excel, word and PowerPoint.

EducationalQualifications:

  • MBA or other relevantprofessional qualifications in line with areas of specialization
