Navya Nexus in India is seeking a Legal Executive to manage drafting, contract review, documentation, land-related legal coordination, dispute correspondence and regulatory support for a growing renewable energy and infrastructure business.

Qualifications

  • LLB mandatory.
  • LLM or specialization in Corporate / Infrastructure / Property Law preferred.
  • 13 years of relevant experience in corporate legal practice, a law firm or in-house role.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and finalize EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements, O&M contracts, PPAs, land lease/sale deeds and MoUs.
  • Review and redline agreements and legal documents from clients, government authorities and counterparties.
  • Identify legal risks, ambiguities and non-standard contractual clauses and escalate.
  • Coordinate with external lawyers and legal counsel regarding opinions, court matters, arbitration and dispute resolution.
  • Draft and manage legal notices, demand letters, reply notices and dispute correspondence.
  • Support land legal due diligence, including title searches and mutation-status tracking.
  • Coordinate with revenue officers and government departments for land and documentation matters.
  • Liaise with revenue offices, stamp-duty authorities and sub-registrar offices for document execution and registration.
  • Maintain an organized repository of contracts, title documents, court filings, approvals and regulatory correspondence.
  • Respond to legal queries and coordinate with internal teams, external counsel and counterparties.
  • Manage multiple legal matters with timely follow-up and closure.

Job description

We are hiring a Legal Executive for a growing renewable energy and infrastructure business.


The role will be responsible for legal drafting, contract review, documentation, land-related legal coordination, dispute correspondence and regulatory/legal support.


The ideal candidate should have strong practical exposure to commercial contracts, infrastructure/property documentation and legal drafting, along with the ability to coordinate effectively with external legal counsel, government authorities and internal business teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review and finalize EPC contracts, subcontractor agreements, O&M contracts, PPAs, land lease/sale deeds and MoUs.
  • Review and redline agreements and legal documents received from clients, government authorities and counterparties.
  • Identify legal risks, ambiguities and non-standard contractual clauses and elevate them appropriately.
  • Coordinate with external lawyers and legal counsel regarding legal opinions, court matters, arbitration and dispute resolution.
  • Draft and manage legal notices, demand letters, reply notices and dispute correspondence.
  • Support land legal due diligence, including title searches, encumbrance certificate checks and mutation-status tracking.
  • Coordinate with revenue officers and relevant government departments for land and documentation matters.
  • Liaise with revenue offices, stamp-duty authorities and sub-registrar offices for document execution and registration.
  • Maintain an organized repository of contracts, title documents, court filings, statutory approvals and regulatory correspondence.
  • Respond to legal queries and coordinate with internal teams, external counsel and counterparties.
  • Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up and closure.

Requirements
  • LLB is mandatory.
  • LLM or specialization in Corporate / Infrastructure / Property Law will be preferred.
  • 13 years of relevant experience in corporate legal practice, a law firm or an in-house legal role.
  • Strong legal drafting and contract review skills.
  • Exposure to commercial, infrastructure and property law.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Indian Contract Act
    • Transfer of Property Act
    • Arbitration & Conciliation Act
    • Relevant state revenue laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and document-management tools.
  • Ability to redline contracts and track changes.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple legal matters and work with lawyers, government offices and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands-on experience in infrastructure, renewable energy, EPC contracts, property/land documentation or commercial contracts will be particularly relevant for this opportunity.


We are looking for someone who can take ownership of legal documentation and coordination, identify contractual risks proactively and work closely with business teams to support timely execution.
