e2E RAIL Group in India is seeking a Legal Consultant with 3+ years of relevant experience to support contracts, commercial matters and compliance across business operations and EPC projects.

You will review and draft commercial agreements, MOUs, NDAs and subcontracts; conduct legal research; coordinate with external counsels for litigation and arbitration; and help manage disputes, notices, and regulatory documentation for EPC/infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

  • LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.
  • 3+ years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in EPC, infrastructure, construction, railway or project-based organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Contract review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements, MOUs, NDAs, work orders and subcontracts.
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to business and project teams and conduct legal research.
  • Coordinate with external counsels for litigation, arbitration and other matters.
  • Support EPC/infrastructure project teams on legal issues including EOT, variations, claims and disputes.
  • Maintain legal records, compliance tracking and contract databases.

Department: Legal & Contracts

Reporting To: Head – Legal / Contracts

Role Overview

We are looking for a Legal Consultant with 3+ years of relevant experience to provide legal support across business operations, projects, contracts and commercial matters. The role will involve contract review and drafting, legal research, compliance, dispute management, legal documentation and coordination with external counsels.

The ideal candidate should have experience in commercial contracts, EPC/infrastructure projects, contractual disputes and corporate legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract Review & Drafting

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, work orders and subcontract agreements.
  • Review customer, vendor and subcontractor contracts and identify legal and commercial risks.
  • Provide legal advice on contractual obligations, liabilities, indemnities, warranties, termination, LDs and dispute-resolution provisions.
  • Ensure contracts adequately protect the company's interests.
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to business and project teams.
  • Conduct legal research and interpret applicable laws, regulations and contractual provisions.
  • Advise management on potential legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Support business teams in resolving contractual and legal issues.
  • Assist in handling contractual disputes, claims, notices and legal proceedings.
  • Coordinate with external advocates/counsels for litigation, arbitration and other legal matters.
  • Prepare case briefs, chronologies, legal notices and supporting documentation.
  • Track ongoing disputes and ensure timely responses and submissions.
4. Project & EPC Legal Support
  • Provide legal support to project teams on EPC/infrastructure contracts.
  • Review contractual correspondence and advise on legal implications.
  • Support project teams in matters related to EOT, variations, claims, delays, penalties, termination and subcontractor disputes.
  • Assist in protecting the company's contractual rights and remedies.
5. Compliance & Documentation
  • Support statutory and regulatory compliance applicable to business operations.
  • Maintain legal records, agreements, notices, litigation trackers and contract databases.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals for legal and contractual commitments.
6. Coordination
  • Coordinate with Contracts, Commercial, Finance, HR, Procurement, Projects and Business teams.
  • Work with external legal counsel, consultants and government authorities whenever required.
  • Support senior management in legal negotiations and critical contractual matters.
Qualification
  • LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.
  • 3+ years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Candidates with experience in EPC, infrastructure, construction, railway, engineering or project-based organizations preferred.
Required Skills
  • Strong contract drafting and review skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial and contractual laws.
  • Understanding of EPC/construction contracts.
  • Good knowledge of arbitration and dispute-resolution processes.
  • Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
