Job summary

Geekyants seeks a seasoned corporate legal counsel to independently draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and employment contracts. You will manage day-to-day legal operations, support internal teams, and mitigate risks across liability, IP, and data protection.

This role coordinates with Sales, Finance, HR, Operations, external advisers, and senior management, and contributes to policy development, standard agreements, and compliance processes.

Qualifications

• LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year program).
• Experience: 5 years in corporate legal, commercial contracts, and compliance.
• Experience with a reputed law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in the IT industry.
• Preference: IT consulting, IT services, technology, or SaaS with international contracts.

Responsibilities

• Independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor, and employment agreements).
• Manage day-to-day legal operations and provide legal support to internal departments.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks related to liability, indemnification, IP, and data protection.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate, Labour, and Data Privacy laws/regulations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, HR, Operations, external advisers, and senior management.
• Develop and improve legal policies, standard agreements, and compliance processes.
• Handle legal notices, disputes, recovery matters, and litigation coordination.
• Support international matters, notably USA and UK, plus ad hoc requirements.

Skillset

• Sound knowledge of Corporate Laws, Contract Laws, Labour Laws, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, DPDP).
• Ability to independently handle legal matters and provide business-oriented solutions.
