Job summary

GeekyAnts Bengaluru seeks an experienced corporate lawyer to independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs, while supporting internal departments. You will ensure compliance with Corporate, Labour, and data privacy laws, manage day-to-day legal operations, and coordinate with Sales, Finance, HR, and external advisers, including international matters.

The role requires 5 years of experience, LL.B., and a business-oriented mindset with strong communication

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of Corporate, Contract, Labour laws and data privacy regulations (GDPR, DPDP).
• Ability to independently handle legal matters and provide business-oriented solutions.

• Strong attention to detail, risk assessment, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and employment contracts.

Job description

• Independently draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and employment contracts.
• Manage day-to-day legal operations and provide legal support to internal departments.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, particularly concerning liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and data protection.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate Laws, Labour Laws, and Data Privacy Regulations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, HR, Operations, external legal advisers, and senior management.
• Develop and improve legal policies, standard agreements, and compliance processes.
• Handle legal notices, disputes, recovery matters, and litigation coordination.
• Support international legal matters, particularly involving the USA and UK, along with other ad hoc legal requirements.

Skillset:

• Strong expertise in commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Sound knowledge of Corporate Laws, Contract Laws, Labour Laws, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, DPDP).
• Ability to independently handle legal matters and provide business-oriented solutions.

Educational Qualifications

Qualification and Experience:

• LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year program).
• Experience: 5 years in corporate legal, commercial contracts, and compliance.
• Experience with a reputed law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in the IT industry.
• Preference: Candidates from IT consulting, IT services, technology, or SaaS companies with experience handling international contracts.
