Sudarshan Chemical is seeking a seasoned legal and compliance professional to support regional legal operations across the USA, Europe, and globally. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, maintaining regulatory records, and coordinating with internal teams and external counsel.

You will contribute to data protection, antitrust compliance, and special projects while ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• In-house/MNC experience is preferred, especially US/Europe regions.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Aufgaben

• Support Regional Legal SPOC on Corporate, Commercial, EHS, and Employment Law matters.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and counsel; ensure timely follow-up and closure.
• Maintain legal records, trackers, notices, and compliance action items.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with internal/external parties.
• Develop privacy/DP framework, policies, templates, and training programs.
• Support antitrust/compliance initiatives and related controls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal & Compliance- USA and Europe

• Support the Regional Legal SPOC on Corporate Law & Secretarial, Commercial Law, Contracts, EHS, and Employment Law matters.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders and external counsel on legal matters and ensure timely follow-up and closure.
• Maintain legal records, matter trackers, statutory documentation, notices, and compliance action items.
• Conduct legal research and monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.

2. Contracts- USA, Europe and global

• Draft, review, negotiate, and coordinate commercial contracts in collaboration with the internal/external stakeholders.
• Track key contractual obligations, expiries, and other critical milestones.

3. Data Protection & Privacy Framework- Global

• Support the development of the Data Protection & Privacy framework from the ground up, in collaboration with lawyers and relevant business functions.
• Assist in developing privacy policies, procedures, templates, compliance processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support ongoing privacy compliance.
• Conduct/co-ordinate training, awareness, monitoring, and compliance activities.

4. Antitrust / Competition Law Framework- Global

• Support the development and implementation of the Antitrust / Competition Law compliance framework in collaboration with lawyers.
• Assist in developing policies, guidelines, procedures, and compliance controls.
• Support review of business practices and commercial arrangements from a competition law perspective.
• Conduct/co-ordinate training, awareness, monitoring, and compliance activities.

5. Special Projects

• Support the Regional Legal SPOC on special projects, legal initiatives, and process improvement activities assigned from time to time.
• Prepare presentations, briefing notes, legal updates, and management reports as required.

6. Key Skills & Competencies

• Relevant In-house MNC experience (US and Europe regions experience will be advantageous)
• Strong legal research, drafting, contract review, and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of corporate and commercial law.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with internal and external lawyers across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through.
