Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior/Lead Security Engineer to support the client's security team in Chennai. You will work with multi-national teams on critical web security areas including WAF management, incident handling, and security policy assessments.

The role requires strong English communication, hands-on Akamai expertise, and familiarity with OWASP Top 10, DDoS mitigation, and API security. Opportunities for global collaboration and continuous learning are offered.

Qualifications

• 6–15 years of combined IT experience.
• Hands-on Akamai WAF, Kona Site Defender or similar tools.
• Solid knowledge of OWASP Top 10, DDoS mitigation and bot management.
• Experience in security incident handling and response.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and manage WAF rules and policies via Akamai.
• Investigate and resolve security incidents affecting web applications.
• Assess WAF configurations, policies and overall security posture.
• Detect attack patterns, anomalies, and vulnerabilities in web apps.
