Job summary

Responsibilities
- Own the quality and delivery of your product and services end to end; define and execute test strategy.
- Lead test strategy across functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks integrated into DevOps pipelines.
- Lead mobile test automation for iOS and Android apps using Appium, BrowserStack; manage multiple apps.
- Apply AI to test optimization and evaluate AI-generated tests for reliability.
- Test APIs manually and automatically using Postman and Karate; validate microservices scalability and security.
- Shift quality left with developers; collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Triadge defects, perform root-cause analysis, and drive fixes to closure; track quality metrics.
- Lead multiple QA projects and mentor senior colleagues; communicate with stakeholders.

We're looking for a Senior Lead SDET to join Service & Engagement. You will own the quality and delivery of our mobile and service products, set the test strategy and engineering standards for your area, and lead a team of QA engineers. This role suits someone with 9-11 years of relevant experience.
- Own the quality and delivery of your product and services end to end. Define the test strategy and plan, implement and execute it, and make sure testing milestones are met on time.
- Own the test strategy for your product area across functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing, applying sound software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, and strong test planning, design, and execution practices.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and scripted tests, integrated into DevOps CI/CD pipelines with Git-based workflows. Use GitHub Actions for full pipeline integration, parallel execution across OS versions, and robust handling of flaky tests.
- Lead mobile test automation for iOS and Android apps, drawing on a solid understanding of both platforms and experience managing more than five applications on the Play Store and App Store. Use Appium (Android and iOS), Cucumber, and BrowserStack, and write code in Java or a scripting language such as Python.
- Apply AI to mobile test optimization, including performance testing, battery drain analysis, and self-healing tests. Evaluate AI-generated tests and results critically, and keep automation reliable and maintainable.
- Test APIs both manually and through automation, using Postman and Karate, and apply a solid knowledge of how APIs function. Help validate that systems in our microservices ecosystem are scalable, secure, robust, and fault-tolerant.
- Shift quality left by working with developers on testability, code reviews, and acceptance criteria from day one. Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality features.
- Triage defects, perform root-cause analysis, and drive fixes to closure. Track quality metrics over time, and use them to guide release decisions and continuously improve our tools, systems, and processes.
- Lead multiple QA projects and manage a team, setting direction and standards across teams. Act as a trusted expert for hard problems, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at every level.
- Mentor and grow senior colleagues, and multiply the impact of the teams around you.
- Bring a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (B.Tech or equivalent), or equivalent practical experience, along with 9-11 years of test automation experience.
- Experience with contract testing, chaos testing, or security testing to strengthen the resilience of distributed services.
- Exposure to evaluating ML- and LLM-powered features, including their quality, reliability, and behaviour.
- Experience with mobile test automation at scale across real-device farms.
- Experience with MongoDB, and good knowledge of data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL pipelines (AWS, Athena, Redshift Spectrum, Postgres, SQL, etc.).
- A strong focus on business outcomes, comfort with open communication and collaboration across functions, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience with Scrum methodologies and remote teams is a plus.
- Build digital products from scratch on modern, cloud-native infrastructure.
