Job summary

Digit88 Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned QA Lead to guide automation testing for complex web applications. You will lead a QA team, shape test strategies, and ensure high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of full stack automation experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and API testing, and thrives collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 Years as a Full Stack Automation SDET with expert-level web automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
• 4+ years of experience with Nightwatch JS, Cypress, Playwright, Applitools.
• Expert-level JavaScript and Typescript programming experience; ability to automate tests across the stack.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Agile environments; daily scrum participation.
• Hands-on API test automation using Postman/Newman; proficient in Mocha and Chai.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, testing principles, and TDD frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build and maintain automation frameworks/scripts for complex web apps to deliver high quality software.
• Manage a team of QA engineers including planning, delegating and progress monitoring.
• Engage proactively with Project Manager regarding project statuses, resourcing, risks.
• Provide leadership-level reporting on a weekly basis outlining achievements and issues.
• Contribute ideas to continually improve code quality and automation performance.
• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to educate automation test strategy.

The Opportunity

Digit88 is seeking a talented and experienced QA Lead to join our team. The QA Lead will be responsible for leading the QA efforts, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the quality of our software products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies and possess strong leadership skills. This role requires hands‑on experience in test automation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams. Additionally, the QA Lead must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build and maintain clear and reliable automation frameworks/scripts for complex web based applications from scratch to make testing processes effective and efficient in order to deliver high quality software.
• Manage a team of QA engineers including planning, delegating tasks, monitoring progress.
• Engage proactively with Project Manager regarding project statuses, resourcing, risks
• Leadership-level reporting on a weekly basis through structured reports and informal meetings outlining achievements and issues.
• Research and contribute ideas for continually improving code quality and automation test performance.
• Work closely with both technical and non-technical team members. Interact with various levels of individual contributors and management to educate and influence automation test strategy.

Qualifications

• Education: BE / B.Tech / BS / MS in Computer Science or related field
• Experience:
  • Minimum 6 Years as a Full Stack Automation SDET with expert-level experience on web application automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.
  • 4+ years of experience with Nightwatch JS, Cypress, Playwright, visual testing automation tools like Applitools
• Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level JavaScript and Typescript programming experience
  • Ability to write code in one or more programming languages like Java to automate tests for the full solution stack
  • Working experience on Jira, familiarity with Agile environment, including daily scrum.
  • Hands‑on experience in one or more of Protractor, Jest, Cucumber, Jasmine, or similar JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Hands‑on experience in API test automation using Postman/Newman, with advanced proficiency in Mocha and Chai
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
  • Understands TDD test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit etc.
  • Experience with any of JMeter, Performance Centre/LoadRunner, VST
  • Experience in applying Generative AI to accelerate test design, automate test generation, and improve defect detection, driving higher test coverage and faster, more reliable release cycles.
  • Strong understanding of services across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
