Job summary

Adtran in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to build and evolve a cloud-native SaaS platform. You will influence architecture, own delivery from design through production, and mentor developers while leveraging AI to enhance software quality.

You will lead design of scalable backend services and REST APIs on AWS, enforce CI/CD, security, observability, and cost optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 12-14 years of experience building scalable enterprise or SaaS products using modern software engineering practices.
• Strong expertise in Java, cloud-native application development on AWS, system design, and backend engineering.
• Experience building microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies and modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, containerization, observability, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills with a passion for continuous learning and AI-assisted software development.
• AWS Certification (Associate or above) or equivalent cloud experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Leverage AI-powered engineering tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery.
