Job summary

Worldpay is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the Launchpad-UI team in Maharashtra. You will drive backend development with Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, while collaborating with product stakeholders to shape fintech solutions. Flexibility in core hours is expected as projects demand.

Ideal candidates bring strong Java expertise, API design skills, and hands-on DevOps experience to deliver scalable services across global platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Spring framework.
• Experience with microservices and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with OAuth2, JPA and logging best practices.
• Comfort with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good communication and team mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Write code and perform testing and debugging of applications using current languages and technologies.
• Interact with product managers or users to define requirements and modifications.
• Write technical specifications from design and business requirements.
• Analyze and modify software enhancements and new products used in networked or internet applications.
• Guide juniors on technical difficulties and participate in interviews.

What You’ll Own

• Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.
• Ideal candidate will be able to start coding, unit testing API development with understanding of requirements.
• The candidate is expected to guide juniors in the team on technical difficulties, solve business problems, take interviews of junior position
• Core business hours: as per company policy but need flexibility as may be required by the project.
