Job summary

HomeLane in Chennai is seeking a creative Interior Design Consultant to manage residential design projects from the initial consultation to final design and order booking.

You will translate client requirements into practical, on-budget concepts, produce quotations and drawings, and coordinate with production, operations, and installation to ensure a smooth, satisfying experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 13 years Diploma / Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 1–3 years of experience in residential interior design projects.
• Basic site experience with understanding of installation feasibility.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of the local language is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned HomeLane customers from initial consultation to design finalization and order booking.
• Understand client requirements and translate them into practical and aesthetically appealing design concepts.
• Create accurate quotations, detailed designs, and production-ready drawings.
• Ensure designs are feasible, installation-friendly, and aligned with site conditions.
• Coordinate with internal teams (production, operations, and installation) for seamless project execution.

Required Expertise & Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in space planning, modular furniture, materials, and execution processes.
