Qualifications

• Experience with residential and/or commercial projects in India; familiarity with local codes.

Role Description

The Senior Interior Designer will lead end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development through to execution and handover. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru includes meeting with clients to understand requirements, developing design concepts, preparing presentations, and guiding space planning and material selections. The role involves producing and reviewing detailed drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and overseeing site work to ensure designs are implemented to quality standards and timelines. The Senior Interior Designer will mentor junior team members, manage project documentation, and contribute to design standards and best practices within the studio.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection and specification
• Proficiency in Space Planning with a solid understanding of user experience, circulation, and functional layouts
• Knowledge of Architecture principles as they relate to interior projects, including structural and building systems awareness
• Ability to produce and review Construction Drawings and detailed documentation for contractors and vendors
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in interior design, including project leadership responsibilities
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar)
• Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-functional coordination
• Experience with residential and/or commercial projects in India; familiarity with local materials, codes, and construction practices is an advantage
