Job summary

Akamai Technologies in India is seeking a Senior Data Engineer II to architect and lead Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence initiatives, translating Finance data into actionable insights.

You will configure FDI data loads, semantic models, and dashboards, partner with Finance leaders to migrate and integrate systems to Oracle Cloud, and build an enterprise data catalog for self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience on Oracle FDI.
• Strong SQL and data architecture knowledge.
• Experience with ERP finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Revenue).
• Experience creating enterprise reports with Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance leadership to architect migration and integration into Oracle Cloud.

The Data Engineering, Analytics & Intelligence team is the engine behind our data-driven culture. We partner across the enterprise—from Finance (Accounting, Customer Revenue Operations, Business Finance) to Sales and Marketing—to build the robust analytical foundations that power our global operations.

As a Senior Data Engineer II, you will be a primary architect of our Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) environment. You will lead our high-stakes Oracle Cloud Transformation for Finance, configuring and managing FDI data loads and dashboards to unlock unprecedented operational efficiencies for the business.

As a Senior Data Engineer II you will be responsible for:

• Partner with Finance leadership across Accounting, Customer Revenue Operations, and Business Finance to architect the migration and integration of systems into Oracle Cloud.
• Configure and manage Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) data loads, semantic models, and dashboards to turn enterprise Finance data into operational intelligence.
• Understand Finance business processes to lead the building and maintaining of an enterprise data catalog and empower self-service analytics.
• Act as the primary go-to expert and technical consultant for process changes and technical roadmaps within Finance systems.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a deep understanding of business processes and data lifecycles specifically within Finance (Accounting, Customer Revenue Operations, Business Finance) systems.
• Have 6+ years of experience on Oracle FDI
• Good understanding of data architecture and a proven track record leading cloud ERP transformations (Oracle Cloud, Workday, Salesforce).
• Hands-on experience configuring and managing Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), including data loads, KPIs, and dashboard management for business consumption.
• Good experience with RDBMS like Oracle, elite SQL skills, and creating enterprise reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong functional understanding of ERP finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Revenue) and how they map to underlying data structures.
• Good communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical roadmaps for business stakeholders in a flexible environment.
• Be naturally curious, a proactive self-starter, and constantly adapting and taking the initiative to solve complex problems.
