Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect to design and deliver public cloud solutions for customers, with a focus on Linode services within APJ. You will guide customers through strategic and technical aspects of cloud transformation, evangelize cloud computing, and drive adoption as part of the integrated account team.

You will collaborate with sales on technical aspects, contribute to solution and product innovation, and build technical thought leadership to support

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience including 4 years in a customer facing technical role with a cloud/hosting firm.
• Certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF are desired.
• Hands-on skills in Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI & GPU, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming or media streaming.
• Knowledge of open source software including Apache Web Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills capable of communicating complex technical content to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Cloud professional services delivery experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Drive new Linode customer acquisition and account growth as public cloud pre-sales, collaborating with sales on technical aspects.
• Drive customer success and continuous consumption of Linode as part of the integrated account team.
• Lead solution and product innovation initiatives; evangelize APJ use cases/technologies and influence product roadmap with product managers.
• Build technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing/Linode to support Akamai APJ business growth.

Shape the future of the internet

You’ll play an integral part of sales lifecycle & support Pre-Sales defining Cloud/Linode solutions as technology specialist. You will guide customers through strategic & technical aspects of Cloud transformation to drive Linode services consumption. You’ll also be the thought-leader in cloud computing both outside and within Akamai.

As a Technical Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Driving new Linode customer acquisition and account growth as public cloud pre-sales, collaborating with sales on technical aspects
• Driving customer success and continuous consumption of Linode, as part of the integrated account team.
• Leading solution & product innovation initiatives. Evangelize APJ use cases/technologies & influence product roadmap with product managers
• Building technical thought-leadership in Cloud Computing/Linode to support overall Akamai APJ business growth.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of professional experience including 4 years in customer facing technical role with cloud/hosting firm
• Demonstrate successful experience in architecting IaaS solutions & possess professional level certifications from AWS/GCP/Azure/Oracle and/or CNCF
• Demonstrate hands‑on skills in three or more domains: Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI & GPU, IaC/CI/CD tooling, gaming or media streaming tech stack
• Demonstrate knowledge and hands‑on skills in open source software including: Apache Web Server, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform
• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Have Cloud professional service delivery experience is ideal
