Job Description

The HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design and development of HVAC systems for various projects. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC principles, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Proficiency – Utilize HVAC software tools such as HAP for load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection for chillers, AHUs, fans, FCUs, etc.
• HVAC System Design – Design HVAC systems for projects including industrial, tech parks, commercial and retail stores, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Develop detailed design plans including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layouts.
• Site Assessments – Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather necessary information for accurate design and planning.
• Technical Drawings and Specifications – Create and review technical drawings and specifications using CAD software. Collaborate with architects, contractors and other disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into building design.
• Design Proposals and Documentation – Prepare and present design proposals, technical reports and documentation for client approval. Provide comprehensive specifications and technical data for procurement.
• Installation and Commissioning – Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Energy Analysis and Efficiency – Perform energy analysis and recommend energy‑efficient solutions to optimize system performance.
• Technical Support and Guidance – Provide support and guidance to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Industry Trends and Best Practices – Stay updated with industry trends, advancements and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
