Job summary

Design Solutions Inc. (DSI) in India seeks an experienced Senior Design Engineer – HVAC to lead complex HVAC projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, and healthcare sectors.

You will develop detailed designs, perform load calculations, coordinate with PHE, electrical, structural, and BIM teams, and mentor junior engineers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 7+ years of experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP/BIM to deliver compliant, high-quality designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of HVAC design/engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, load calculations, ductwork, chilled water systems and equipment selection.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC designs for diverse building projects.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, equipment schedules and drawings.
• Perform cooling load calculations, duct sizing and system design.
• Coordinate HVAC with PHE, Electrical, Structural, Architectural, and BIM teams.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Conduct design reviews and resolve clashes and coordination issues.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards and client requirements.
• Support project teams in resolving technical queries and design issues.

Design Solutions Inc. (DSI) is looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer – HVAC to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in HVAC design, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery, with the ability to independently handle complex engineering assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC designs for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and other building projects.
• Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and detailed design drawings.
• Perform cooling load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, and system design.
• Design and coordinate chilled water, air distribution, ventilation, and related HVAC systems.
• Review design calculations, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with PHE, Electrical, Structural, Architectural, and BIM teams.
• Conduct design reviews and resolve clashes and multidisciplinary coordination issues.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
• Monitor project deliverables for quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
• Support project teams in resolving technical queries and design-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, load calculations, ductwork, chilled water systems, ventilation, and equipment selection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; hands-on experience with Revit MEP/BIM is preferred.
• Good understanding of relevant international HVAC codes and standards.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to independently manage design deliverables and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MEP consultancy / building services projects.
• UAE/GCC or international project experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience with BIM coordination and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with HVAC design and analysis software.
