Job summary

Dover India is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer-II to lead hardware design projects at our Whitefield/Bangalore facility. You will work on debugging, testing, and performance evaluation of product hardware, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

The role requires strong knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors interfacing, signal conditioning, power electronics, and CAD tools such as OrCAD and Cadence Allegro.

Qualifications

• Experience with ORCAD tool for schematics capture and CADENCE ALLEGRO for PCB design.
• Knowledge of sensors and actuators with signal conditioning circuitry.
• Experience with motors, pumps and heater driving circuits.
• Proficiency in lab tools: oscilloscope, multimeter, DAQ, power supplies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering projects pertaining to hardware design of Product including debugging, design testing, Product performance testing, Pre-compliance testing, reverse engineering, value engineering test reports & co-ordination with vendors with minimal
• Thorough knowledge of hardware design basics, Microcontrollers, sensors interfacing & signal conditioning circuits, heater coil actuation circuits, power amplifier circuits, Input filter & general filter circuits, power converters, Motor controls & pump driving circuits, power dissipation with thermal performace calculations
• Able to enter schematics in orcad tool along with selection of components & design calculations, pcb design experience of atleast 4 years in Cadence Orcad for 4 layers along with high speed design rules
• Able to provide technical guidance to associate design engineer & Trainee engineer
• Able to work independently as an individual contributor while co-ordinating with cross functional teams

Must Have Skills

• Experience with ORCAD tool for schematics capture & CADENCE ALLEGRO for PCB Design for atleast 4 years of relevant experience less than 5 years, Reverse engineering & value engineering skills not older than 3 years
• Knowledge & hands on experience sensors & actuators along with associated selection matrix & signal conditioning circuitry, Experience in motors, pumps and heater driving circuits
• Should be proficient in using all lab tools & equipment which includes Oscilloscope, Function Generation, Multimeter, Data Acqusition unit, Programmable power supplies, Soldering equipment with rework & trouble shooting experience till 0402 & QFN package. This requires relevant experience of atleast 5 to 6 years.
• Should be able to communicate effectively verbally & orally with global counter part team
