The candidate will ensure compliance with military standards, perform EMI/EMC evaluations, and contribute to reliable, manufacturable solutions across the product lifecycle. Relevant aerospace/defense exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in electronics or related field.
  • Experience in designing high-power electronics.
  • Exposure to military quality standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, simulate, and optimize power electronic circuits.
  • Build hardware prototypes and perform testing, debugging, and fault diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with PCB layout engineers for high-current routing and thermal management.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC evaluations and thermal analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation and BOMs.

Job Description

Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Overview

The Senior Hardware Engineer will provide high-level technical contribution in designing, testing, and validating specialized equipment, focusing on embedded systems, circuit design, and multi-layer PCBs, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards. Power Electronics experience is a MUST.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, simulate, and optimize power electronic circuits including:
  • Utilize simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, and other relevant platforms for circuit analysis, design verification, and performance optimization.
  • Build hardware prototypes and perform hands-on testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis activities.
  • Collaborate with PCB layout engineers or directly support PCB layout activities with focus on:
    • High-current and high-voltage routing
    • Thermal management
    • Design optimization for manufacturability and reliability
  • Select suitable power electronic and analog components considering electrical, thermal, reliability, and application-specific requirements.
  • Conduct thermal analysis, qualification testing, screening tests, and EMI/EMC evaluations.
  • Participate in Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR) conducted by customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support product development activities throughout the complete product lifecycle.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable military standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including:
    • Technical Specifications
    • Hardware Design Documents
    • Bill of Materials (BOMs)
    • Acceptance Test Reports (ATR)
    • Reliability Calculations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
    • Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
    • Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
    • Instrumentation Engineering
    • Telecommunication Engineering
    • Power Electronics Engineering
    • Other relevant disciplines
Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power Electronics Design and Development.
  • Strong experience in Analog Circuit Design and Power Supply Design.
  • Candidates should have successfully completed and delivered at least 4–5 Power Electronics projects.
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defence Power Supply Design will be considered an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Analog Circuit Design
    • Control Theory
    • Power Electronics Component Selection
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools including:
  • Experience in hardware debugging, validation, and prototype testing.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance requirements and mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of military standards including:

Compensation

Salary Range: ₹45,000 – ₹50,000 per month (Based on experience, technical expertise, and interview performance).
