Newen Systems is seeking a Power Electronics Hardware Engineer in Baroda, Gujarat. The role focuses on developing electronic software for PCBs, both digital and analog, and managing component selection, sensors, and communication platforms.
You will integrate with next‑generation systems and work with software teams on algorithm design and system integration. Requirements include a BE/BTech in Electronics or Electrical and 5+ years of hands‑on power electronics experience in a renewable context.

1. Development of electronic software for PCBs Digital and analog; Wired and wireless communication design
2. Selection of components, sensors, drive/amplifier
3. Responsible for software implementation on microcontrollers, DSPs, other computational devices and communication platforms
4. Integration with Newens next generation systems and platforms
1. Architect circuits for Power Electronics Products by selection of appropriate technology and components
3. Ability to design large complex product which includes Topology Design, Thermal Design Enclosure Design, Magnetics Filter Design, Wire routing design
4. Understanding of NABL and UL approvals for BOM and Production Facility
5. Understanding and implementation exposure for UL, ICE, CE Certifications
6. Lead and conduct advanced research for cost reduction of power electronic hardware and better product endurance
7. Select suitable sensors, computational platforms (C or DSPs), protection devices on circuits, MCB, Breaker and Disconnector, communication methodologies, isolated OPAMPs and Communication ICs etc
8. Design and Develop Analog and Digital circuit Schematic and BOM in ORCAD
9. Work with layout engineer for giving inputs for Conducted and Radiated emission protection from layout point of view, Impedance controlled Paths, placement of various modules of circuits for best suitable path
10. Giving inputs to manufacture and test Printed Circuit Boards
11. Work with Software Engineers to help them in Algorithm design, System Integration and Troubleshooting
12. Iteratively develop proof-of-concept implementations, prototypes and demos to fine-tune technologies to practical, state of the art systems
13. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of hardware design standards and best practices
14. Prepare reports and presentations on the status of the design and development process for discussion with management and/or team members
15. Direct research on emerging hardware products and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
1. Bachelors degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering (or related field)
2. Masters degree in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering (preferred)
3. Five or more years of past experience working on Power Electronics Design in Renewable field
4. Hands-on experience for analog, digital and embedded (uP/FPGA/DSP) boards in ORCAD/ALTIUM/KiCAD/PROTEL or any similar CAD tool.
5. Hands on experience with sensors, OPAMPs, Power Supplies and its topology selection
6. Strong understanding of various communication technologies such as RS232/422/485, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.
7. Hands on experience in integrating Microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGA etc
8. Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience using DSO, Logic Analyzer, Multimeter, etc.
9. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
10. Knowledge in theoretical Power Electronics, Remote Terminal Units is highly desirable.
11. Knowledge in Power Electronics Applications is desirable
12. Passion to develop novel Energy Storage Solutions or knowledge of Remote Terminal Units is desirable
13. Hands on experience in MATLAB/SIMULINK/PSIM/PSPICE and/or any other simulation tool would be an advantage
14. Knowledge in CAD drawings would be an advantage
