Job summary

WHITE SPACE in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Doors & Hardware Estimator to join our growing team. You will review architectural drawings, perform quantity takeoffs for doors, frames, and hardware, and prepare detailed estimates for storefronts, glazing, and related hardware.

You will coordinate with suppliers and vendors, analyze specifications, identify scope gaps, prepare BOQs and bid summaries, and help drive competitive pricing while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Doors & Hardware Estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of Doors, Frames & Architectural Hardware.
• Proficient in Project management Software.
• Experienced in Quantity Takeoffs, BOQ, Pricing & Bid Preparation.
• Ability to read Drawings, Specifications & Hardware Schedules.
• Excellent communication, analytical & time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, elevations, schedules, details, and project addenda to understand project scope and estimating requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for glazing, doors, frames, and architectural hardware using construction drawings and digital estimating tools.
• Estimate storefront, curtain wall, window wall, aluminum entrances, windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and specialty glazing systems.
• Prepare takeoffs and estimates for hollow metal, aluminum, wood, glass, and specialty doors, including frames and related accessories.
• Review and quantify door hardware and other accessories.
• Prepare detailed BOQs, material summaries, scope sheets, and cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications.
• Obtain and evaluate material, supplier, subcontractor, and vendor quotations to establish competitive project pricing.
• Analyze specifications and hardware schedules to identify required products, finishes, ratings, and performance requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain pricing, product information, lead times, and technical clarification.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, exclusions, and potential conflicts between drawings, specifications, schedules, and details.
• Prepare and submit RFIs for missing, unclear, or conflicting project information.
• Review addenda, revisions, and change orders and update estimates and takeoffs accordingly.
• Develop detailed labor and material pricing, including equipment, freight, wastage, subcontractor costs, and other project-related expenses.
• Prepare bid proposals, bid tabs, comparison sheets, and detailed estimate summaries for management review.
• Maintain accurate estimating databases for material costs, labor rates, vendor pricing, and historical project data.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the estimating and bidding process.
• Assist in value engineering by identifying alternative materials, systems, and cost-saving solutions while maintaining project requirements.
• Track bid invitations, deadlines, revisions, and submission requirements to ensure estimates are completed on time.
• Review awarded projects and assist with handover from estimating to project management, including scope clarification, takeoff documentation, and vendor quotations.
• Support change-order pricing and additional-work estimates by reviewing revised drawings, field conditions, and subcontractor/vendor costs.
• Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, applicable codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, quotations, takeoffs, correspondence, and bid documentation.
