Arkain Games seeks a Senior Slot Game Designer to own end-to-end design of innovative, engaging slot experiences. You’ll conceptualize mechanics, create design documents, and drive live operations, collaborating with math, art, and development teams to ensure a high-quality product.

The role requires strong RNG and balancing expertise, plus a passion for player psychology and advancing slot innovation in a fast-moving studio environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Game Designer in a slot game company (land-based, online real-money, or social casino slots).
• Deep understanding of RNG mechanics, mathematical balancing, and game progression.
• Working knowledge of slot math—RTP, volatility, hit frequency, paytables, reel strips—and reading PAR sheets.
• Advanced Excel skills for paytable prototyping and feature modelling.
• Portfolio of at least 2 shipped slot titles with clear design contributions.
• Strong passion for design, ownership of key features, and collaboration across teams.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills and player psychology awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative slot game concepts with engaging mechanics across base games, freespins, holds, cascades, and jackpots.
• Partner with math teams to set RTP/volatility targets and review simulations for intended feel.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive game design documentation, briefs, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Prepare accurate game rules, help screens, and design docs for certifications (GLI-11/GLI-19 and US jurisdictions).
• Collaborate with art, animation, sound, and development to ensure cohesive gameplay and quality.
• Conduct playtesting, gather feedback, and iterate designs based on client and user input.
• Track market and performance data to refine live games and inform new concepts.
