Agrya Consulting in Chennai seeks a Senior Financial Analyst specializing in Finance Compliance. You will own GST compliance, assist management with timely financial analysis and coordinate with clients and auditors.

The role requires advising on regulatory requirements and delivering accurate monthly MIS and cash flow reports. Ideal candidates are semi-qualified with 5+ years of finance compliance experience, capable of guiding juniors and communicating clear compliance positions to management

Qualifications

• Semi-qualified professional: CA Intermediate (both groups cleared), CMA Intermediate, CS Intermediate or equivalent.
• B.Com / M.Com alongside the above is welcome.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance compliance (GST, TDS, income tax and statutory filings) in a CA firm, advisory practice or corporate finance team.
• Proven record of handling compliance independently, including notices, reconciliations and audit support.

Responsabilités

• Compliance: manage periodic GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and annual returns.
• Reconcile books with GSTR-2B and GSTR-9/9C; maintain a compliance calendar and meet due dates.
• Analysis and Reporting: prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis, cash flow statements and budget vs actuals; assist in financial statements.
• Support projections, financial models and fund-flow analysis for advisory assignments.
• Coordination: review junior work, mentor team and clearly communicate compliance status to management and clients.

Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (Finance Compliance)

Location: Chennai

Employment Type: Full Time

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with 5+ years of experience in finance compliance to own statutory and regulatory compliance and support management with accurate, timely financial analysis. The ideal candidate is semi-qualified, a clear communicator, and comfortable dealing with clients, auditors and authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance

• Manage periodic GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and annual returns
• Reconcile books with GSTR-2B and GSTR-9/9C
• Maintain a compliance calendar and ensure all due dates are met without penalty

Analysis and Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS, variance analysis, cash flow statements and budget vs actual reports for management
• Assist in preparing financial statements and schedules as per applicable accounting standards
• Support projections, financial models and fund-flow analysis for advisory assignments

Coordination

• Review the work of junior team members and guide them on compliance procedures
• Communicate compliance status, risks and recommended actions clearly to management and clients

Qualifications and Experience:

• Semi-qualified professional: CA Intermediate (both groups cleared), CMA Intermediate, CS Intermediate or equivalent
• B.Com / M.Com alongside the above is welcome
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance compliance (GST, TDS, income tax and statutory filings) in a CA firm, advisory practice or corporate finance team

Skills and Competencies:

• Sound working knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax and the Companies Act
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain compliance positions to clients, auditors and non-finance colleagues
• Proficiency in MS Excel (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations) and accounting software such as Zoho Books
• Strong attention to detail, ownership of deadlines, and ability to manage multiple clients or entities at once
• Ability to review junior work and mentor team members
