Job summary

Diageo Barwaha Unit in India seeks an experienced SCM professional to monitor daily PRs and production receipts, coordinate material movements, and drive cost-efficient logistics.

You will partner with Planning, Procurement, and Finance, ensure compliance, manage PV/audit activities, and deliver MIS reports. 5–7 years' experience, MBA, SAP, Advanced Excel required.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent required for business administration or commerce fields.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of Purchase, Materials Management and Warehousing practices, FG dispatches, Excise Regulatory & Transportation.
• Must manage PV/Audit monthly/quarterly/annually and compliance.
• Strong ERP exposure, especially SAP, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control daily Purchase Receipts (PR) and Production Receipts of materials.
• Review and maintain material receipt docs through invoice receipt and closure.
• Organize timely movement of materials within the unit to support operations.
• Drive logistics cost optimization and implement efficient logistics model.
• Coordinate with Planning and Packing for traceability and reconciliations.
• Follow up with suppliers/transporters for timely deliveries and issue resolution.
• Prepare reports on material/resource availability and shortages.
• Monitor resource expenditure and cost performance against plans.
• Manage PV/Audit activities and closure of observations.
• Develop contingency plans for demand/supply fluctuations and constraints.
• Prepare and review MIS for supply chain, inventory, logistics, and KPIs.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Planning, Warehouse, Finance, Quality, Commercial teams for end-to-end ops.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, inventory controls, and compliance standards.

From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.About the role:Unit Supply Chain – Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and control daily Purchase Receipts (PR) and Production Receipts of materials, ensuring timely and accurate system transactions.Review, maintain, and control material receipt documentation and records until invoice receipt and closure.Organize and ensure the timely movement of materials within the unit to support uninterrupted and efficient operations.Drive logistics cost optimization and implement an efficient logistics model to achieve cost and service objectives.Coordinate with Planning and Packing teams to ensure accurate accounting, reconciliation, and traceability of recycled bottles and packing materials.Follow up with suppliers and transporters for timely order fulfillment, material deliveries, vehicle placement, and resolution of supply/logistics issues.Prepare timely and accurate reports on material/resource availability, highlighting shortages, risks, and critical requirements.Monitor and report resource expenditure, utilization, and cost performance against approved plans and budgets.Effectively manage monthly, quarterly, and annual Physical Verification (PV) and audit activities, including inventory verification, variance analysis, RCA, documentation, and closure of audit observations.Develop and implement contingency plans to manage fluctuations in demand, supply disruptions, and operational constraints.Support the Manager in preparation and review of daily and monthly MIS, including supply chain, inventory, logistics, cost, and operational performance indicators.Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Planning, Warehouse, Finance, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain operations.Ensure adherence to company SOPs, inventory controls, statutory requirements, and audit/compliance standards across unit supply chain activities.Essential Qualifications:MBA or any Equivalent to master’s degree in business administration or commerce or related fieldKnowledge of Purchase, Materials Management and Warehousing practices good planning and Organizing Skills High Flexibility and Problem SolvingExperience / Skills Required:5–7 years of relevant experience in supply chain operationsWhat are the “Must Haves” for this position?Knowledge of Purchase, Materials Management, GRN and Warehousing practices, FG dispatches, Excise Regulatory & Transportation etc.Able to handle PV/Audit monthly/quarterly/AnnuallyMust be able to manage LMU Executive/Staff and Contractual workmen.Strong ERP exposure (SAP), Advanced ExcelGood planning and Organizing SkillsHigh Flexibility and Problem SolvingWorking with usFlexibility is key to our success.
