Job summary

From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers’ hands, you’ll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.About the roleObjective: The role primarily entails the management of Pan India Inbound and Outbound Logistics. Main responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of input materials from suppliers to manufacturing sites and delivery of finished goods to customers / depots. Person will have to work closely with planning team, manufacturing team and commercial team to ensure smooth logistics operations. Person will also be responsible to manage relationship with Logistics Service Providers and other functional teams.Purpose: To manage Inbound and Outbound logistics operations efficiently and effectively.Roles and Responsibility:A. Inbound:Delivery of Raw and Packaging materials from suppliers to Manufacturing sitesCoordinating with units and suppliers to ensure efficient scheduling, communications and timely placement of trucks / TankersManage optimum rotation of dedicated trucks.B. Outbound:Delivery of Finished Goods from Manufacturing sites and depots to depots & customersEnsuring >95% loadability to ensure cost optimizationWork closely with Planning team to Forecast truck requirements during peak period / month end and ensuring availability of trucks.Proactively find solutions in case of anticipated disruptionsManage sudden changes in plan due to external factors / change in demandManage changes in Route To MarketsEnsure logistics compliance in line with Excise and other regulationsManage optimum rotation of dedicated trucksC. Insight:Accountable to ensure adherence to TMS usage for Inbound as well as outboundOn time payment to transportersEnsuring breakages are within control and managed using systemsAnalyze logistics data to recommend and implement improvementsWork closely with Logistics sourcing team to deliver cost improvementsD. Logistic Issue resolution:Managing Logistics issues like Accidents, truck detentions etc.Timely resolution of issues including insurance claims, cost recovery etc.Implement solutions to avoid recurring issues.E.
