Job summary

Nihilent in Pune is seeking a Senior Executive to manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across India. You will validate data, ensure accurate salary calculations, deductions, and reimbursements, and coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation.

You will drive statutory compliance by preparing returns, handling inspections, and maintaining records, while supporting employees with payroll queries and onboarding/exits.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in HR or Finance is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in Payroll or Labour Law are an added advantage.
• 8–10 years of experience in India payroll processing and statutory compliance.

Role Senior Executive

Payroll Management

• Collation of end-to-end monthly payroll inputs for employees across India.
• Validate employee data, attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, bonuses etc
• Ensure accurate calculation of salary components, deductions and reimbursements.
• Coordinate with Finance for payroll accounting, salary disbursement, and reconciliation.
• Handle payroll audits and maintain payroll documentation.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely compliance with all applicable statutory regulations
• Prepare and file statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
• Coordinate statutory inspections and respond to notices from government authorities.
• Maintain statutory records, registers, and documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and labor laws.

Employee Support

• Resolve employee queries related to salary, deductions, and statutory benefits.
• Educate employees on payroll policies and statutory benefits when required.
• Support onboarding and exit processes from a payroll compliance perspective.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly MIS reports and payroll analytics.
• Reconcile payroll, statutory payments, and accounting records.
• Maintain accurate payroll and compliance documentation for audit readiness.

Required Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in HR or Finance is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in Payroll or Labour Law are an added advantage.

Experience

• 810 years of experience in India payroll processing and statutory compliance.
• Experience handling payroll for medium to large organizations is preferred.
