Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions seeks a Senior Executive - Engineering to maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation and control systems, ensuring reliable operation to support safe, efficient plant operations. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance of PLC/DCS/SCADA, analyzers, valves, and instruments.

Responsibilities include calibration verification, troubleshooting, and ensuring cGMP/EHS compliance while coordinating with vendors and supporting plant shutdowns and validation

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Instrumentation, ECE Engineering.
• 2–4 years of instrumentation maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and ensure reliable operation of plant instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure optimum performance of field instruments, control valves, PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, analyzers, and related instrumentation.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation systems.
• Calibrate and verify critical instruments per procedures and schedules.
• Troubleshoot transmitters, control valves, switches, and sensors; support control loops.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, statutory, and quality requirements.
• Maintain calibration records, maintenance docs, SOPs, and instrument history.
• Support shutdowns, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for technical support and upgrades.
• Identify instrumentation risks and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Job Description

Responsible for the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and reliable operation of all plant instrumentation and control systems. Ensure optimum performance of field instruments, control valves, PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, analyzers, and associated instrumentation to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.

Preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation systems.

Calibration and verification of critical instruments as per approved procedures and schedules.

Troubleshooting of transmitters, control valves, switches, sensors, analyzers, PLC/DCS, and associated control loops.

Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, statutory, and quality requirements.

Maintain calibration records, maintenance documentation, SOPs, and instrument history.

Support plant shutdowns, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.

Ensure availability and reliability of critical instrumentation and control systems.

Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical support, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades.

Identify instrumentation-related risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Support continuous improvement, automation, energy optimization, and instrumentation upgrade projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow cGMP guidelines and all factory safety procedures.
• Carry out calibration of field instruments as per the calibration schedule.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of all plant instruments.
• Operate and maintain the EPABX communication system.
• Monitor and maintain critical instrument spare parts.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI systems.
• Maintain master instruments and ensure calibration records are updated.
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for instrumentation equipment.
• Maintain proper documentation related to calibration and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve instrument-related issues.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation,E.C.E Engineering.

Experience

• 2 to 4 years preferred.
