Synergy Maritime is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage core accounting and finance operations in India, overseeing timely closures, statutory compliance, and audit support. The role requires strong IFRS/IndAS knowledge, MIS reporting, and leadership of a small team.

You will drive financial statement preparation, MIS analyses, and regulatory filings under Indian taxation and labour laws, ensuring accuracy and timely management reporting.

Formación

• CA Inter with 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of IGAAP/IndAS/IFRS with experience supporting audits.
• Proficient in MIS reporting and variance analysis.
• Excellent understanding of Indian statutory compliance and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of 2–3 people.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations in line with applicable acts and rules.
• Oversee revenue recognition and expense management processes.
• Ensure timely closure of books to support MIS reporting and management needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, IndAS, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Generate and analyze MIS reports to provide insights into financial performance and trends.
• Conduct variance analysis and propose corrective actions for significant variances.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintain documentation for TDS, GST, Income Tax, and labour law compliance.
• Support payroll-related compliance and co-ordinate with actuarial valuation for gratuity and leave balances.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing core accounting and finance operations, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books of accounts, and supporting statutory and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will drive preparation of financial statements in line with IGAAP/IndAS/IFRS, support internal and external audits, generate MIS reports for management insight, and ensure adherence to Indian statutory requirements including TDS, GST, and Income Tax regulations. The role also involves leading a small team and managing filings relevant to the entity's country of operation.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Finance

• Manage day-to-day accounting affairs in accordance with relevant acts and rules.
• Oversee revenue recognition and expense management processes.
• Ensure timely closure of books of accounts to support MIS reporting.
• Report all relevant financial information in a timely manner for various management reports.

IGAAP / IndAS / IFRS Audit Support

• Collaborate with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards (IndAS), and IFRS.
• Prepare documentation and support audit processes, including addressing audit queries and implementing audit recommendations.

Preparation of Financial Statements

• Apply relevant IFRS standards in the maintenance of books of accounts.
• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the financial statement preparation process.

MIS Reporting

• Generate and analyze Management Information System (MIS) reports to provide insights into financial performance.
• Develop and maintain efficient MIS structures to facilitate timely and accurate reporting.

Variance Analysis

• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between planned and actual financial results.
• Provide recommendations for corrective actions to address significant variances.

Statutory Compliance

• Stay updated on changes in taxation laws and other regulatory requirements in India, including TDS, GST, Income Tax, and labour law compliances.
• Oversee and manage the company's compliance with applicable statutory regulations, including timely filing of returns and maintenance of necessary documentation.
• In addition to group audit responsibilities, manage relevant statutory filings pertaining to the entity's country of operation.

HR Related Support

• Have adequate knowledge of the Indian payroll related compliances.
• Co-ordination with Actuarial valuer for the valuation of Gratuity and Leave salary.
• Assisting payroll team for payroll related compliances and filings.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA Inter with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of IGAAP/IndAS/IFRS with experience supporting audits.
• Proficient in MIS reporting and variance analysis.
• Excellent understanding of Indian statutory compliance and tax regulations.
• Advanced skills in financial statement preparation and analysis.
