Job summary

Allana Group is seeking a detail-oriented SCM planner to manage demand and supply planning, inventory control and MIS reporting. You will collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement and Logistics to ensure product availability and optimal stock levels.

The ideal candidate has 1-4 years in supply chain planning, strong Excel (Advanced Excel, VLOOKUP, Pivot), Power BI experience, and familiarity with ERP/SAP. FMCG/manufacturing exposure is a plus.

• Graduate in Commerce, Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics or a related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain preferred.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Demand & Supply Planning

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly demand and supply plans.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Procurement and Logistics to ensure product availability.
• Monitor demand fluctuations and identify supply gaps.
• Analyse planned vs. actual sales, production and dispatch performance.
• Support SKU-wise, region-wise and customer-wise planning.

2. Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels, stock movement and availability across locations.
• Prepare stock ageing, slow-moving inventory and reconciliation reports.
• Identify inventory shortages, excess stock and potential wastage.
• Ensure effective stock utilisation and adherence to FIFO/FEFO practices.

3. MIS Reporting & Data Analytics

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly SCM dashboards.
• Analyse sales trends, inventory, order fulfilment and supply chain KPIs.
• Create automated Excel trackers, analytical reports and management dashboards.
• Identify operational variances and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure timely and accurate management reporting.

4. Order & Dispatch Planning

• Coordinate order processing, stock allocation and dispatch schedules.
• Monitor pending orders, order fulfilment and delivery performance.
• Track planned versus actual dispatches and highlight delays.
• Support efficient distribution planning across customers and regions.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Production, Finance, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
• Resolve planning discrepancies and follow up on operational bottlenecks.
• Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.

Must-Have Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel

Advanced Excel proficiency is mandatory. Candidates must have hands-on experience in:

• VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS and logical formulas.
• Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts and advanced data analysis.
• Automated MIS reports and interactive dashboards.
• Data cleaning, consolidation, reconciliation and large-dataset management.
• Advanced filtering, conditional formatting and data validation.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Skills:

Power Query, Power BI, ERP/SAP and Macros/VBA.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: Graduate in Commerce, Supply Chain, Operations, Statistics or a related discipline. MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain preferred.
• Experience: 1-4 years in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management or SCM MIS.
• Experience in FMCG, food processing, perishables or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data in a fast-paced business environment.

Important Selection Criteria

Candidates shortlisted for this position will be required to undergo a practical Advanced Excel assessment.

Candidates with strong Excel-based planning, analytical reporting and MIS capabilities will be preferred.
