Job summary

Allana Group in Mumbai is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager Demand & Supply Planning to lead end-to-end supply chain planning, production alignment, inventory optimisation, and shipment execution.

You will strengthen the S&OP process, ensure product availability, minimise losses, and drive operational efficiencies through cross-functional coordination and analytics.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, and SCM.
• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel, MIS Reporting, ERP Systems, and Planning Tools.
• Sound understanding of production planning, inventory control, logistics, and distribution.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proven experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders and leading teams.
• Experience handling perishable products, shelf-life management, and multi-location inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute monthly demand and supply plans aligned with sales forecasts and business targets.
• Ensure timely shipment execution and order fulfilment.
• Monitor demand fluctuations, supply gaps, and production capacity to ensure business continuity.
• Lead periodic S&OP meetings with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
• Align production schedules, inventory availability, and dispatch plans with business requirements.
• Monitor planned versus actual performance and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing plants to ensure adherence to production and dispatch schedules; manage raw materials availability.
• Monitor inventory across plants and warehouses to maintain optimal stock levels; drive FIFO/FEFO adherence.
• Collaborate with logistics teams for timely and cost-effective deliveries; track dispatches and order fulfilment.
• Develop supply chain dashboards, planning reports, and KPIs; analyse variances and propose improvements.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic, analytical, and result-oriented Senior Manager Demand & Supply Planning to drive end-to-end supply chain planning, production alignment, inventory optimisation, and shipment execution.

The incumbent will be responsible for strengthening the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring product availability, minimising inventory losses, and driving operational efficiencies through effective cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demand & Supply Planning

• Develop and execute monthly demand and supply plans aligned with sales forecasts and business targets.
• Ensure timely shipment execution and order fulfilment.
• Monitor demand fluctuations, supply gaps, and production capacity to ensure business continuity.

2. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

• Lead periodic S&OP meetings with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
• Align production schedules, inventory availability, and dispatch plans with business requirements.
• Monitor planned versus actual performance and initiate corrective actions.

3. Production & Plant Coordination

• Coordinate with manufacturing plants to ensure adherence to production and dispatch schedules.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
• Establish production and dispatch guidelines to minimise operational errors and delays.

4. Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Monitor inventory across plants, warehouses, and CFA locations to maintain optimum stock levels.
• Analyse inventory ageing, slow-moving stock, and potential expiries.
• Drive inventory optimisation, minimise wastage, and ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO practices.

5. Logistics & Shipment Execution

• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Monitor daily dispatches, shipment performance, and order fulfilment.
• Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks affecting customer service levels.

6. MIS, Analytics & Process Improvement

• Develop and monitor supply chain dashboards, planning reports, and operational KPIs.
• Analyse demand-supply variances, inventory movement, and production performance.
• Implement process improvements to enhance planning accuracy, efficiency, and cost optimisation.

7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and guide the planning team to ensure proactive planning and seamless execution.
• Drive accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and timely issue resolution.
• Build effective working relationships with Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics stakeholders.
