Macquarie Group in Mumbai is seeking a Senior/Equity Research Analyst to cover India IT & Services. You will deliver high-quality research, build financial models, and present actionable insights to institutional clients.

You will engage with senior company stakeholders and contribute to regional product strategy in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The role requires 5+ years in equity research, sector expertise in IT & Services, and exceptional analytical and writing skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in equity research (buy-side or sell-side).
• Sector expertise in IT & Services; corporate strategy or investor relations in IT welcome.
• Exceptional analytical and writing skills, with ability to deliver actionable insights.

Join our Equity Research team in Mumbai and help deepen our footprint within an exciting and growing market, leveraging the strengths of the Macquarie platform. You will be working as a writing analyst, covering IT & Services companies in India in an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.

Reporting to the Head of India Equity Research, you will leverage your expertise to identify and articulate compelling investment opportunities. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality research through rigorous market analysis, detailed financial modeling and insightful reports that guide institutional clients’ decisions. You will actively engage with senior stakeholders at covered companies, maintain strong industry relationships and provide timely, actionable insights that reflect both company-specific fundamentals and broader macro trends.

In addition, you are expected to drive thought leadership and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and clarity in every piece of research you produce, actively contribute to our Asia regional product, and stay on top of emerging themes to guide investment decisions.

• Excellent academic qualifications in finance or related disciplines
• 5+ years’ experience in equity research (buy-side or sell-side) with relevant sector expertise. Corporate strategy or investor relations experience gained within the IT and Services industry is welcome
• Exceptional analytical and writing skills, with a proven ability to deliver actionable insights
• Strong communication skills with a solid track record of building relationships with institutional clients and internal stakeholders globally
