Job description

We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented engineering professional with 2–8 years of aviation experience to join our Engineering Services team at LTSI, supporting a range of engineering activities within the Aircraft MRO environment for Lufthansa Technik Services India. In this role, you will leverage SAP and regulatory documentation to streamline technical evaluations, support customer engineering teams, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives. You will also play a key role in managing component technical analysis, evaluating and maintaining eligible aircraft models, engine versions, and components for alternate parts, and driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering data to prepare technical reports, support reliability reviews and support ad-hoc technical requests from stakeholders.
• Conduct technical assessments and evaluations of aircraft models, engine versions, and components for alternate parts using SAP and regulatory documents (PMA, EASA and FAA). Perform detailed analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information in aircraft eligibility records; prepare and draft PMA Extension Letters for submission to the FAA.
• Quality & Risk Awareness - Ensure technical output meets engineering standards, regulatory requirements (FAA/EASA), and organizational processes.
• Execution & Operational Support - Manage assigned tasks/work packages with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Continuous Improvement & Digital Support - Contribute to process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and digital workflows by identifying workflow gaps and proposing practical solutions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, effectively communicating technical findings through structured reports and presentations.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure clear, concise sharing of information and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Educational Background - bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Industry Experience - 2–8 years of experience in the aviation domain (OEM or MRO environment preferred).
• Hands-on experience or exposure to aviation technical documentation (AMMs, CMMs, SBs, ADs etc.).
• Strong understanding of aircraft and engine systems, component lifecycle, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Experience in working with alternate parts (PMA/DER).
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, and data handling tools such as Power BI.
• Data & Analytical Capability - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and manage complex engineering data. Demonstrated ability to structure, organize, and plan workstreams.
