Job summary

Lufthansa Technik Services India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking a material and customer service oriented professional to join our AOG desk operations. You will generate aircraft availability, coordinate material supply, and respond to ad hoc and scheduled inquiries, acting as the interface between LHT, customers and partners.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, have 3+ years of industry experience, excellent English, and the ability to work in a 24/7 shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible as the Contact person (central) at AOG-Desk for any queries related to operational customer service at LHT & external companies
• Process, coordinate and document all customer requirements right up to availability of materials at the point of need and pass on information to the affected departments
• Fully responsible to Carry out and document material procurement measures (demand dissolution, purchase, loan, acceleration, stock transfer)
• Support customer service requests and be available to carry out services even during downtimes (internal and external) - fully responsible
• Performing and coordinating transport management tasks
• Will be required to be available for a 24/7 shift pattern, flexibility is key
• Work to Clarify with internal and external customers and suppliers, for any queries
• Responsible for sub-areas of material management support as well
• Perform Activities in: Sales, Rental, 1:1 Exchange, Dispatching, Data Capture outside of service hours
• Perform special tasks, handle projects with full responsibility.

Founded in 2005, Lufthansa Technik Services India (LTSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) of Germany. Based in Bengaluru, our 500+ team delivers value-added services to Lufthansa Technik’s Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) spectrum for all common commercial aircraft types (Airbus, Boeing, Embraer). LTSI specializes in customer service, supply chain management, digital and engineering services, procurement, airfreight and financial services for the aviation industry.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Generate aircraft availability according to service level obligation for the assigned accounts utilizing assets & sourcing. Process and co-ordinate material supply for assigned accounts. Provide material services for ad hoc and scheduled customer inquiries. Act as the interface between LHT, customer and business partners.

Qualification

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Excellent spoken and written English, should be a team player
• Abilities to include but not limited to - Decision Making, problem solving, Working under stress, time management, multi-tasking, customer centric, persuasiveness and assertiveness
• Experience in materials management, purchasing, technical customer service, technical documentation or aircraft maintenance is required
• Independent and systematic work with changing requirements
• Shift duty suitability (3-shift operation / 24/7 support)
• Ability to handle High volumes and pressure
• Knowledge of MS Office
