Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a CAD/CATIA driven Mechanical Design Engineer for HVAC cooling system design in the Chennai region. You will work on power train cooling, radiator packaging, and associated plumbing with Tier-1 OEM exposure.

The role requires 3 to 8 years in OEM/Tier-1, BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Mechanical/ Thermal/ Design, and hands-on experience with CATIA and PLM/3DX. You will collaborate across functions to resolve interface issues and support design validation.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years in OEM/Tier-1 with CATIA & HVAC, cooling system design.
• Excellent CATIA and HVAC system knowledge with radiator/heat exchanger packaging.
• Experience in GD&T and design validation processes.
• Hands-on thermal system development and supplier interactions.
• Strong CAD data management and data retrieval skills.
• Familiarity with interface resolution and cross-functional discussions.
• Knowledge of material selection for sheet metal, plastics, hoses, etc.
• Ability to benchmark and optimize designs.

Job description

• 1. CATIA expertise in Power Train cooling system. Radiator and heat exchanger packaging, plumbing etc.
• 2. CAD experience in part level, Assy level & Surface level
• 3. Very good in Drafting and 2D drawing preparation.

• 5. Hands on Therma lsystem developement, supplier interactions.
• 6. Good experience in GD&T.
• 7. Well versed with system component selection and placement.
• 8. Issue resolution skills, build, GNOVAC & validation.
• 9. Knowledge in material selection for sheet metal, plastic, rubber hoses etc., & manufacturing process
• 10. Interface issue resolution and handling CFT discussions.
• 11. CAD data management and retieval of data.
• 12. Benchmarking skills.

Experience

3 to 8 years in OEM/ Equvenet in Tier-1 with B.E/B.Tech(Regular) - CATIA & HVAC, Cooling system design
