Job summary

Dover India is seeking an experienced engineer to drive VAVE initiatives across electrical/electronic assemblies. You will contribute to cost reductions, design-to-cost activities, and product optimization through hands-on hardware design and rigorous validation.

Responsibilities include collaboration with sourcing and supplier quality teams, managing feasibility studies, documentation, and ensuring conformance with performance and safety requirements, while supporting NPI and implementation

Qualifications

• Experience in VAVE, cost engineering, and productivity initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in electronic hardware design, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with electronic CAD tools such as Altium or OrCAD.
• Working knowledge of PLM/PDM systems and engineering change processes.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end VAVE programs for electrical/electronic assemblies and subsystems, building a prioritized savings pipeline.
• Perform should-cost analysis, teardown benchmarking, and design-to-cost assessments.
• Support technical execution from feasibility to release, including documentation and compliance evidence.
• Ensure changes meet performance, reliability, EMC/EMI, thermal, safety, and metrology requirements; assist with NPI/pilot builds and issue resolution.
• Present status updates on savings pipeline, realized savings, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.

Exp: 5 - 6 Years

• Support end-to-end VAVE programs for electrical/electronic assemblies, including PCBAs, harnesses, HMIs, and related subsystems, Build and maintain a prioritized VAVE opportunity pipeline aligned to business savings targets.
• Perform should-cost analysis, teardown benchmarking, and design-to-cost assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with sourcing and supplier quality teams to evaluate supplier proposals and implement cost/productivity projects.
• Support technical execution of approved ideas through feasibility, prototyping, validation, and release. Prepare and manage all engineering documentation, including specifications, test plans, reports, ECR/ECO packages, and compliance evidence.
• Ensure changes meet product performance, reliability, EMC/EMI, thermal, safety, and metrology requirements. Support manufacturing plants with NPI/implementation, pilot builds, and issue resolution for VAVE-related changes.
• Present periodic status on savings pipeline, realized savings, risks, and implementation timelines to stakeholders.

Must Have Skills:
