Job summary

Dover India seeks an experienced embedded test engineer to design, implement and execute test plans for firmware and software validations on embedded platforms in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Experience in firmware/embedded testing and validation.
• Mandatory expertise in test automation (Python preferred).
• Hands-on with hardware interfaces and tools such as oscilloscopes/logic analyzers.
• Reading schematics and familiarity with communication stacks (Ethernet).
• Experience with log analysis and defect resolution with developers.
• Awareness of test management tools like JIRA/qTest and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases, and strategies for firmware/software validations.
• Perform functional, system, and regression testing on embedded platforms.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for firmware validations.
• Ensure end-to-end validation including hardware-software integrations.
• Analyze logs, issues/bugs and coordinate with developers to resolve defects.
• Create and maintain test reports, documentation, and traceability matrices.
• Continuously improve test processes, automation coverage, and quality metrics.
• Participate in verification and validation activities.
